ScrapFest in Kitchener 2011 FAQ's

I have never attended ScrapFest before. Can you explain the different passes to me?

VIP Marketplace Pass: $20+HST. This is a two day event pass that allows you to join in our special Friday night VIP Marketplace and then come back and shop all day on Saturday. You also receive the VIP "scrap" bag which is filled with product from our sponsors. These tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. VIP Passes sell out quickly so be ready to register on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 at 8:00pm ET.

ScrapFest Crop: $72.50+HST. The price of the Crop includes: your VIP pass to the ScrapFest Marketplace (both Friday and Saturday), over 24 hours of cropping time in our crop arena, a "crop" bag filled with product from our sponsors, scheduled contests, giveaways, and more!!!

Saturday Marketplace pass: $10+HST in advance or $12 at the door. This allows you to shop in the ScrapFest Marketplace only on Saturday April 9th, 2011 from 9am - 5pm. It may be purchased in advance or at the door. You do not receive any type of goodie bag with this pass.

As well, you can also purchase educational classes at an additional cost. A Marketplace pass is not included in the cost of any class and you must have a pass to enter the Marketplace.

ScrapFest Marketplace Hours:

Shop the days away at the ScrapFest Marketplace! With plenty of vendors to choose from you are sure to find something unique for your paper crafting needs. The hours for the Marketplace are:

    Friday April 8th: 4:00pm-10:00pm (VIP night/ScrapFest Crop participants only)
    Saturday April 9th: 9:00am-5:00pm

What are the hours of operation for the ScrapFest Crop?

    Friday, April 8th, 2011 10:00am-12:00am
    Saturday, April 9th, 2011 9:00am-9:00pm

The cost for the ScrapFest Crop will be $72.50+HST. This cost includes a 2 day Marketplace pass. Croppers may pick up their tickets at the Registration desk on Friday, April 8th starting at 9:00am. The Marketplace opens at 4:00pm on Friday, April 8th, 2011.

What size tables are being used for the ScrapFest Crop?

The ScrapFest Crop will be setup using 6ft rectangular tables with every participant being given 3ft of space in the Marketplace. The Crop will be held in the adjacent rink, the Kinsmen Arena to allow for more cropping time but the same amount of shopping time!!

I am attending the ScrapFest Crop. Can I leave my scrapbooking things in the cropping arena?

You are quite welcome to leave your materials/projects and your rolling totes at your seat overnight in the Cropping Arena. ScrapFest does provide security throughout the day and overnight. However, we do recommend that you take any expensive/valuable items (eg Cricut) home with you on Friday night as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

How do I purchase tickets for ScrapFest in Kitchener?

Registration is done here off of the website by going to Registration which is located under the Kitchener 2011 menu. This will bring you to the catalogue where you can review all classes, Marketplace passes and the ScrapFest Crop. These can easily be purchased by putting the product into your shopping cart. Registration opens on Wednesday February 2nd, 2011 at 8:00pm ET.

ScrapFest accepts the following forms of payment: PayPal (please setup an account for credit cards), certified cheques, and money orders.

Will you be mailing the tickets?

Sorry, tickets will not be mailed prior to the event. All tickets will be available to be picked up at the Registration table at the AUD beginning on Friday, April 8th. ScrapFest Croppers can pick their tickets up at 9:00am and remaining participants at 3:00pm.

Can you purchase a Saturday Marketplace pass at the door on Saturday, April 9th?

Yes, these tickets are available through on-line registration and at the door. All other ScrapFest tickets have to be purchased through the on-line registration due to limited spots (ie. VIP night, classes, and the ScrapFest Crop)

What should I do if the item (ScrapFest crop, VIP, or a class) I was interested in is Sold Out?

If you would like to be put on a wait list and notified if a space becomes available for any SOLD OUT item in the ScrapFest catalogue, please email us at info@scrapfest.ca with your name and phone number.

What forms of payment are accepted in the ScrapFest Marketplace?

Exhibitors accept cash and the majority of exhibitors also accept credit card and debit. Please check with them to see what they accept.

Is the Kitchener Auditorium wheel chair accessible?

Yes, the Kitchener Auditorium is a wheel chair accessible facility. There are elevators located in the building to take you down to the ScrapFest Marketplace or to classes located on the upper floor.

Please note: booths located around the perimeter of the Marketplace are situated on a 3 inch riser which must be in place for safety reasons. Please call (905) 895-1821 if you require more information.

What is the cost for children to attend ScrapFest?

Children 10 and under receive free admittance to ScrapFest's Marketplace ONLY on Saturday April 9th, 2011. Due to the limited number of VIP tickets, children that wish to attend ScrapFest's VIP evening must pay full price.

How much does parking cost?

Parking is FREE!

Food Concession

Inside the Marketplace there will be a food concession stand along with a rest area.

What if I have pre-ordered tickets and can't make it to the event?

Before submitting your order please review your selections. All event tickets are non-refundable after your order has been confirmed. Changes may be made to your event selections up to March 22nd, 2011. Please see the Purchase Policy in the Shopping Cart for further details.

What does a Basic Tool Kit consist of?

A Basic Tool Kit consists of a 12"x 12" personal trimmer, favorite pair of straight-edge, micro-tip scissors, favorite adhesives- both wet and dry, black and brown ink, black archival journaling pen, paper piercer and mat, regular hole punch, ruler, pencil, eraser, corner rounder (optional), stapler (optional)
